LLigua is a rural village with a surface of 10.86 Km2 with a climate similar to banos is located on the outskirts of the city and at the base of chontilla and chonta Hills. The village is surrounded by crystal clear mountain water all feeding in to the Pastaza river flowing at the base of the village through an impressive canyon creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Its inhabitants dedicate their lives to agriculture and harvest through seasons varieties of fruit such as pears, lemons, mandarins, and other fruit not offered in other places. Their cultural and religious beliefs are very marked in this area through ceremonies, events and religious processions at different times of the year. The spectacular views found here make this a particulary special place to visit.
